Welcome to Cassie Volunteer Fire Department/Burnet County ESD #2

We are a Volunteer Fire Department located on and around part of the East side of Lake Buchanan and Inks Lake, Texas in Burnet County, USA. Our fire station is located at 3900 State Hwy 690, three miles North of Hwy 29.

Cassie VFD is funded by Burnet County Emergency Service District (ESD) #2, also receives money from Burnet County for Out of District calls to help with cost to help other Burnet County fire departments and some operational cost for the department.

Cassie VFD applies for grants through various Federal and State agencies to help off set cost of operations and major projects.

Texas Forest Service is one of the State agencies that CVFD applies for grants through, most of the training that the firefighters go to is paid for through grants from the TFS.

We use State Highway 690 at the fire station for our helicopter pad:
GPS 30 46 58.35 NORTH
GPS 98 23 35.07 WEST
Elevation 1051

We can always use new volunteers in the Department. If you are interested, please contact us. We have a place for your talents.
